Catapano Dairy farm is proud to announce that on July 25^th, 2005, they received the first place award for their Chevre Cheese from The American Cheese Society. The American Cheese Society is an active, not for profit trade organization that encourages the understanding, appreciation, and promotion of farmstead and natural specialty cheeses produced in the Americas and Canada. It is considered one of the world's most influential and prestigious competitions in recognizing the art of artisanal and specialty cheesemaking.  Unlike other cheese competitions, where cheeses are only
graded on their technical merits, the American Cheese Society’s goal is to give positive recognition to those cheeses that are of the highest quality in their aesthetic evaluation (i.e. flavor, aroma, and texture), as well as their technical evaluation. Thank you ACS!!
